WE ARE SMG
Founded in 1993, Seoul Medical Group (SMG) is a national network of independent community physicians who share a vision of improving the health and well-being of patients and their surrounding community.
In 2025, SMG united with the Korean American Medical Group (KAMG), founded in 1989, bringing together decades of shared history and experience.
Today, more than 5,500 primary care physicians and specialists are working together to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care—focused not only on treatment, but on long-term health management and disease prevention.
SMG physicians serve patients across seven major regions nationwide, including Los Angeles, Orange County, and Santa Clara County in California, as well as New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Washington, and Hawaii.

History
SEOUL MEDICAL GROUP is a network of independent practice associations (IPAs) that contracts with affiliated independent physicians and other practitioners to help deliver health care. SMG is not directly involved in the provision of medical treatment, and patients should always seek the advice of their physician or other qualified health care professionals with any questions they may have regarding a medical condition or treatment. SMG and all of its related bodies corporate as defined in the legislation.
